Yammi’s Pecan Pie Recipe (Single 9-Inch Pie)

Ingredients:

  • Dark Corn Syrup: 12 fl oz or 1 ½ cups

  • Eggs: 3 large

  • Sugar: ½ lb (about 1 cup)

  • Butter: 1 oz (2 tbsp), melted

  • Vanilla Extract: 1 tsp

  • Bourbon: 50g (about 1 ½ tbsp)

  • Pecans: 6 oz or 1 ½ cups

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven: Set to 325°F.

  2. Prepare filling:

    • In a mixing bowl, whisk together the corn syrup, eggs, sugar, melted butter, bourbon, and vanilla extract until smooth and well combined.

  3. Assemble pie:

    • Spread the 170g pecans evenly in the prepared pie crust.

    • Pour 760g of the liquid filling (approximately 3 ¼ cups) over the pecans.

  4. Bake:

    • Place the pie on the center oven rack and bake for 45–50 minutes, or until the center reaches an internal temperature of 200°F. The filling should be set but slightly jiggly in the center.

  5. Cool and serve:

    • Allow the pie to cool completely before slicing to let the filling firm up.
